Barbershop Uncut Stories is a bold, heart-warming, and humorous live theatre

production set in the familiar cultural space of the local barbershop. The play features a real barber, Anderson Boyce SRSB and three of his ‘clients’ — Jeff Thompson, Paul Campbell, and Wayne Campbell who are male survivors of prostate cancer.

Together, they re-tell their personal journeys through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery with humour and authenticity, alongside a cast of professional actors.

This powerful production is brought to life by BAFTA-winning director Rochelle Newman of New Duke Films and overseen by Production Manager, Lorna Jones (C & Hair).

The show follows a theatre performance that received great acclaim at the

recent C & Hair Conference (https://lnkd.in/e2C3tbVY) held earlier on this year.

Following the performance, the audience is invited to join an after-show panel discussion, featuring the cast and healthcare professionals, offering a valuable space to explore the themes raised and discuss prostate cancer awareness and men’s health.

Delivered in partnership with the Croydon Council Creative Health Team and C & Hair.
